Locating chassis and engine numbers

We get quite a few calls from people asking about the location of their chassis and engine number. So we have compiled a set of pictures that show the location and format for as many differant models as we can. Select your chassis type (for example W110) from the list below and follow the instructions to find your chassis or engine number. 

- All Mercedes-Benz chassis numbers from 1960 to 1980 are 14 digits long and follow the same pattern.
- In 1980 Mercedes-Benz changed over to the standardised VIN system which is 17 digits.
