Should parts we supply malfunction or arrive damaged, these are our
Parts that arrive damaged.
MB Spares must be notified within 24hrs of the delivery time. So for
example if it is delivered at 9:33am, we need to be notified by 9:33am
the following day. This is best done by a phone call not by e-mail.
Some shipments are insured and freight companies will not accept claims
older than one day.
You will be given further instructions about how the situation will be
resolved when you contact us.
Parts that malfunction.
All NEW parts sold are covered by the Manufacturers warranty. This mean
that different parts can have different warranty's and different terms
for the replacement of parts. In general the warranty is 12 months or
20000kms. Most manufacturers will require information of fitting
procedures and qualifications of the workshop fitting the parts.
USED parts generally have a 3 month 5000km warranty. There are however
exceptions which you will be advised about when we are quoting you on
your parts requirements.
In general the warranty is for the replacement cost of the part
only, not for labour.
All manufacturers reserve the right to inspect parts before issuing a
replacement part. There are two methods of doing this:
- Send the part back to us and we will send it onto the manufacture or
manufacturer's representative for inspection. In some cases where it is
very obvious we will make our own call on the reasons for failure. Once
the part has been determined to be faulty a replacement part will be sent
at no charge.
- We send you a second part at your expense. It will come with return
instructions for the faulty part to be returned to us via the StarTrack
network. Once the second part has been fitted, you send the faulty part
back for inspection. Once the manufacture or manufacturer's
representative have determined the part is faulty a full refund will be
issued. In some cases where it is very obvious we will make our own
call on the reasons for failure.
Parts are not to be sent direct to the Manufacturer or there
representatives. The logic behind this is that we inspect and document
the part before sending it on. That way if we find ourselves having to
support your claim we are able to say we have also inspected the

need to be completed with as much detail as possible and returned with
