Auction description was as follows: The serial number of this rare Mercedes-Benz 300 SE Cabriolet indicates it is amongst the earliest ever made and was sold to the present owner fifteen years ago by Gilltraps. Since then the vehicle has undergone a comprehensive restoration, with the engine and transmission fully rebuilt, the colour repainted from grey to the present white and the interior retrimmed in contrasting red leather upholstery. Other features include air conditioning and the Mercedes-Benz has enjoyed careful and regular maintenance. To be sold registered in Victoria with a current Victorian roadworthy certificate supplied after sale.
