Vehicle History:

This wagon started life as a Factory Long Wheel Base 230.6 sedan. Quite a rare car even before it was converted to a station wagon (or "Estate" as the British refer to them).

It was named the Dachshund for reasons that I are not precisely sure of. The conversion of a LWB sedan caused some concern to Mercedes-Benz and Crayford were forced to cease production of the model after just one example was produced. You can see a copy of the letter here.

It is an 8 seat vehicle with a middle row of fold down seats, however with these folded down there is very little leg room for either row of passengers.
