Mercedes-Benz cars have been modified for many different purpose's over the years. Here is a collection of a few I have seen on the net:

A 190Db wagon with a very interesting tail gate design .(sorry about the picture quality)

Another 190b wagon, different design (by Binz I think) and very sick...... Also a 230S hearse. standard wheel base with the rear doors closed in and a stretch behind the rear wheels.

An ambulance built by the Belgium company Binz (no not Benz) based on the extended chassis version of the W110 190c, this was also available in the 190Dc, 200,200D and 230 version.

A hearse built on the standard W110 sedan wheel base, not sure who the coach work was done by? Not a Binz as it has retained the original sedan tail lights

A W110 190c hearse with rear "barn doors". I believe this conversion was done by Binz. And a 200D hearse.

A W111 220Sb, that was converted to a hearse here in Australia. And another W110 Ambulance, this one was converted by Missen and is a 230.

Another hearse, this time on a W108 chassis. The rear side window is the 1/4 window from the rear door of a sedan! The other side rear window almost looks like it might be from a W109?

A W115 200D, standard wheel base, but with a stretch behind the rear wheels? This car has an identity crisis. It is an early car with front 1/4 vent windows, it has a late (wide grille) bonnet and a front bumper bar from a W114!

Looks the same i know, but its another one. This one is a W115 220, it has the same stretch behind the rear wheels and no rear door. The rear tail lights are defiantly not from a Mercedes-Benz.

This is the only factory modified car you will see in the W115 range. It is a late 240D Long Wheel Base (lang), but somehow has wound up with a pair of early tail lamps?

A W116 hearse.

And a W123 230 hearse.....

A W123 250 Ambulance.

A W124 260E Ambulance.

And finally a W210 270CDI Ambulance.
